Production Associate

Cubitts
London

Production Associate

40 million people wear spectacles in the UK alone, but the optical industry hasn’t changed enough in three centuries. Products are tired, standards are mediocre, and the experience is dull. We’re going to change that, and build the world’s most innovative and customer-centric spectacles company.

The role

We are the team that makes everything happen, supporting our 20 beautiful retail stores, growing digital site and customer experience teams, and ultimately our hundreds of thousands of customers.

As a Production Associate, your role is to get our ever growing number of orders to our brilliant customers, in the right way, and at the right time. You will be part of a team which covers multiple touch points, including our state-of-art glazing lab, stock management, order management and fulfilment and logistics.

Your key responsibilities

  • Quality Control & Glazing: Transform frames into finished spectacles that meet Cubitts’ exacting standards. Conduct meticulous checks at every stage of the glazing and finishing process.
  • Shipping & Dispatch: Manage dispatch and shipping workflows to ensure orders reach customers and stores on time and in perfect condition.
  • Order & Inventory Support: Handle queries from stores and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of issues. Track stock levels and assist with inventory accuracy.
  • Process Implementation & Efficiency: Identify, suggest, and implement improvements to workflows and procedures. Proactively realize efficiencies that save time, reduce errors, and enhance output.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify problems in production, lab, or dispatch processes, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the workshop, inventory, HQ, retail stores, and customer service teams to maintain alignment and support operational excellence.
  • KPI Management & Reporting: Monitor key metrics to ensure performance meets targets, providing insights and updates to the team as necessary.
  • Inventory Control & Stock Reconciliation: Perform regular cycle counts and full stock takes of frames, lenses, and components to maintain accurate inventory records. Investigate discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and ensure system stock aligns with physical inventory.
  • Inbound Inventory & Materials Management: Receive, inspect, and log incoming inventory and production materials, ensuring quantities, quality, and documentation are correct. Organise stock locations for efficient picking and production flow, and flag low-stock or obsolete items to support timely replenishment and minimal downtime.
  • Brand Advocacy: Embody Cubitts’ mission and values, helping to educate colleagues and celebrate the craftsmanship behind our products.
