Strategy Consultant Intern - Corporate Strategy - London F/H

Indefi
London

Who we are

Indefi is a fast-growing strategy consulting firm serving financial investors - including private equity specialists, diversified asset managers, and wealth managers. Founded in 2007, we are now a team of 80+ consultants based in Paris, London, Lyon, and Madrid.

We operate through three business units:

  • Corporate Strategy : We deliver strategic development projects for global asset managers, including business strategy, market entry, distribution strategy, product development, inorganic growth, and investment process enhancement.

  • Private Equity : We support private equity firms throughout the deal life cycle, helping them make better investment decisions and generate stronger returns. We also advise on firm strategy and development to drive value creation.

  • Sustainability Advisory : We help clients design and implement their Responsible Investment strategy and operating model. Working across the investment value chain, we support investors and portfolio companies in defining and embedding their ESG and sustainability ambitions.

To support the growth of our Corporate Strategy practice’s London office, we are recruiting summer / off-cycle interns to join our fast-growing team:

Your mission

As corporate strategy consultants, our work typically focuses on a core set of internal strategic initiatives for our clients:

  • Designing business development strategies (e.g., market entry, product innovation and distribution);

  • Assessing inorganic growth opportunities (e.g., target screening, due diligence, strategic reviews, M&A support);

  • Supporting product development and benchmarking (e.g., evaluating or redesigning investment processes, adapting products for new markets and channels).

Each project lasts from three to six weeks where a dedicated team of up to five people collaborates from start to finish. As a consultant you will have the opportunity to attend meetings with clients and Indefi partners.

We are looking for a candidate who will:

  • Support the delivery of strategic engagements for top-tier global asset managers by:

    • Collecting data and driving analyses;

    • Conducting field research and interviews with market experts;

    • Building concise deliverables that convey strategic insights;

    • Presenting key findings to clients alongside Indefi management.

  • Adopt an “entrepreneurial mindset” and contribute actively to the growth of our London business presence from a strategic, commercial and organizational perspective;

  • Work collaboratively and proactively as a committed member of the cross-border Indefi team;

  • Ensure all work meets the highest standards and consistently exceeds client expectations;

  • Demonstrate capacity to grow and develop their skillset quickly.

Ideal position start-date will be May-June.

Your Profile

We are looking for highly talented individuals who combine strong intellectual capabilities with analytical rigor and business acumen. Ideal candidates are eager to take on responsibility quickly, show an ownership mindset, and thrive on making an impact.

Required qualifications

  • Degree from a leading university (or currently enrolled in such a programme) or equivalent academic excellence;

  • Past internships or full-time experience at either strategy consulting firms, strategy division or M&A department of international groups, investment banks, asset management or private equity firms;

  • Strong skills and experience in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Full fluency in English. A good working knowledge of other European languages would be a plus;

  • Right to work in the UK. This includes candidates on a Graduate visa. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Why join us?

  • Potential for full-time position following successful conclusion of internship;

  • Purpose-driven work with a talented, multicultural team that shares strong values: collaboration, curiosity, impact, and entrepreneurship;

  • Opportunity for rapid career development through a structured onboarding program, individual mentoring and coaching, and immediate subject matter expertise;

  • Ability to join a new team with significant growth objectives with the support of an established organization;

  • Direct exposure to clients and easy access to leadership;

  • Social: regular team events, offsites, summer and winter parties, and more;

  • Prime location: well-serviced, modern offices in Central London (Fitzrovia) with gym, modern locker rooms, and rooftop terrace;

  • Inter-office mobility: teams present across multiple key geographies with opportunity to collaborate across international teams;

  • Competitive compensation package in line with market standards.
