We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President, Credit Risk Management - Institutional Client Group (ICG)

In this role you’ll:

• Manage and monitor credit risks across a portfolio of traditional Hedge Funds and alternative funds
• Recommend appropriate credit limits, structures and risk mitigants within delegated authorities
• Support Sales, Trading and Relationship Management teams in delivering profitable, sustainable and well-controlled credit business
• Provide expert guidance on fund, geographic, sector and counterparty risks, including during client onboarding
• Work closely with WMR, Legal, Collateral Management and other internal stakeholders to resolve credit and documentation matters
• Maintain accurate risk information, databases and approvals, ensuring compliance with HSBC policies and control standards
• Identify opportunities to improve credit processes, approval turnaround times and business flows
• Support audit, regulatory and operational risk requirements, including ad-hoc funds-related projects

To be successful in this role you’ll meet the following requirements:

• Able to evidence in-depth knowledge about the structures and operations of Hedge Funds and Institutional investment firms
• Demonstrate the relevant level of knowledge of Credit Risk and how it is applied in a Global Banking and Markets setting
• Have strong qualitative and quantitative analysis and financial modelling capabilities, and used to working with complex financial data
• High level of commercial awareness to be able to work with various sources of information to produce easily digestible reports and presentations
• Possess very good stakeholder management skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across a varied internal and external audience
• Demonstrate really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to managing multiple tasks often with conflicting priorities
• Have a firm understanding of the Risk and Control and Regulatory governance of Global Markets
