WomenWise - Community Ambassador for Women in the Workplace (Volunteer role) in City of London
Job description
Become a WomenWise Ambassador
Help us shape the future for women in underrepresented industries.
WomenWise
connects women in the workplace through mentoring, events, and partnerships with organisations to drive real change. As an Ambassador, you’ll help us amplify that mission - growing our reach, shaping events, and opening doors for women who need community the most. What difference will you make?
WomenWise is here to change the story in industries where gender diversity is still lacking and people are often isolated or overlooked.
We:
- Run mentoring programmes that connect talent with role models and guidance to accelerate their careers.
- Host events that give professionals in small or isolated teams a space to find community, share challenges, and learn from others.
- Partner with organisations to improve how they hire, retain, and promote diverse talent into leadership roles, driving progress towards gender balance.
- Create content, research, and campaigns that raise awareness and drive change.
Every step we take is mission-driven: to make sure there is progress when it comes to gender representation in different industries. As a WomenWise Ambassador, you’ll help us expand that impact, reaching new voices, amplifying our message, and making sure gender equity stays at the heart of the conversation.
What are we looking for?
We’d love to welcome someone who:
- Believes in our mission and is passionate about advancing gender equity.
- Understands social media (especially LinkedIn) and knows how to use it to spark engagement.
- Can give 2–4 hours a week to support our work.
- Brings energy, reliability, and a collaborative spirit.
What will you be doing?
As an Ambassador, you’ll:
- Share and amplify WomenWise content to grow our reach and visibility.
- Support at events - from registrations and set-up to helping shape the experience on the day.
- Assist behind the scenes with things like podcast shoots, campaign planning, and logistics.
- Be part of community-led projects that put gender diversity and allyship at the centre.
What you’ll gain
- A front-row seat to how a purpose-led community is built and grown.
- The chance to build your skills in social media, events, and community-building.
- Opportunity to network with a powerful network of leaders, allies, and changemakers.
- The knowledge that your time and energy are directly helping to close the gender gap in the workplace
- Guaranteed seats at our events
At WomenWise, we know change doesn’t come from one person alone. It takes all of us amplifying each other, creating space, and building momentum.
Although this will be mostly a remote volunteering opportunity, there will be events around London that may require some travel.
If you are interested. Please apply with your CV (we also recommend adding a couple of lines above your CV to let us know why you'd be interested in supporting our community, so we can get a feel of why this matters to you).
