Internal only We are currently only accepting internal applicants for this vacancy Evaluation Project Officer Salary: £26,939 - £32,608 Location: Based in Islington (EC1V 4NB) and Barking (IG11 8GR) Contract: Fixed term until April 2028 Hours: 35 hours per week Reporting to: Youth Programmes Manager Download the full job description and person specification About the Role This role will work primarily on the delivery of an evaluation of our Choices and Consequences (C&C) workshops, as part of a project funded by the Youth Endowment Fund, in collaboration with external evaluators. The Youth Endowment Fund is an organisation funding research and programmes to prevent violence affecting children and young people. This evaluation aims to test the mechanisms and causal pathways between the C&C intervention and its outcomes. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for promoting youth voice, believes in evidence-based intervention to drive change, and thrives in a collaborative, values-led team. You’ll work diligently, approaching project coordination and delivery with consistency and reliability. This role sits alongside our other youth programmes. As part of a small charity making a big impact, you’ll help ensure Ben’s legacy continues to reach and inspire thousands more young people across the UK. Key Responsibilities Project coordination Act as the central coordinator for the Youth Endowment Fund project, working closely with the Project Manager and evaluation team to support day to day delivery Maintain accurate and up to date project documentation, records and tracking systems Coordinate communication across internal teams and external partners, providing regular updates on project progress Help ensure all activity is delivered in line with agreed timelines, milestones and evaluation requirements Outreach and engagement Carry out proactive outreach to eligible schools and partners, promoting the project and securing participation Manage the onboarding process for participating schools, from initial contact through to engagement, delivery and evaluation Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including school staff and local partners Represent the charity at external events, meetings and forums to promote the YEF Project and C&C Programme Project delivery support Ensure delivery aligns with agreed evaluation frameworks and standards Coordinate and administer data collection, working closely with the evaluator and delivery teams Contribute to the delivery of workshops where appropriate, modelling good practice and supporting facilitator development Assist with the training of delivery staff, ensuring they understand programme aims and evaluation requirements Wider organisational contribution Play an active role as part of the Programmes Team, contributing beyond the immediate project where needed Share learning and insights from the project to support ongoing development of Youth Programmes Any other duties relevant to the role Person Specification Experience & Qualifications Experience of coordinating projects or programmes involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams Experience of working with schools, youth settings or similar environments, including building relationships and managing engagement Experience of supporting or delivering data collection processes, including maintaining accurate records and working with databases or online systems Experience of carrying out administrative duties, following processes and managing documentation to a high standard Significant experience of delivering workshops, education, or training to diverse groups of young people in an informal setting Experience of delivering structured education programmes and suitably differentiating according to young people’s needs Skills & Knowledge Attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, manage competing priorities and keep accurate records A confident communicator, able to build positive relationships with internal teams, schools and external partners and represent the Trust in a professional manner Good attention to detail, particularly when managing data, documentation and reporting processes An understanding of the role of evaluation and evidence in improving programmes and outcomes, with the ability to follow agreed frameworks and processes Knowledge of knife crime and youth violence An understanding of effective approaches to engaging schools and young people in programmes and research activity Knowledge of youth work principles/practices and the issues young people face Knowledge of best practice of facilitation, engagement, participation, and inclusivity when working with young people Key Attributes & Values Passionate about making a difference, with a commitment to developing evidence-based interventions to prevent knife crime and improve outcomes for young people Collaborative and professional, able to work effectively with colleagues and partners, acting with integrity and maintaining confidentiality Committed to equality, diversity, equity and inclusion, and able to apply these principles across all aspects of work Reflective and open to learning, with a willingness to take on feedback and continually improve practice Detail-oriented and reliable, with a strong sense of accountability for maintaining high standards of work Benefits Flexible working opportunities where possible 27 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (rising to 30 days and 33 days after 5 and 10 years’ service, respectively) Enhanced sick pay Contributory pension scheme Cycle to work scheme with the Green Commute Initiative Personal development opportunities How to apply Answer the questions on this application by 9:00am on Monday 11th May We are only accepting internal applications
