Setting Out Engineer
Multiple UK Locations | Competitive Day Rate / Salary | Major Civil Engineering Projects Are you an experienced Setting Out Engineer looking to work on challenging infrastructure and construction projects? We are actively seeking Setting Out Engineers with a strong background in earthworks, piling, and quality assurance (QA) to join a growing pipeline of major civils schemes across the UK. Key Responsibilities Setting out for earthworks, piling, foundations, drainage, roads and associated civils works.
Conducting surveys and ensuring works are carried out to design specifications.
Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
Managing QA documentation, inspection test plans (ITPs), check sheets and quality records.
Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors.
Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme. Requirements ✅ Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering projects.
✅ Strong earthworks and piling experience.
✅ Experience completing QA documentation and quality inspections.
✅ Proficient with Leica, Trimble or Topcon surveying equipment.
✅ Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
✅ CSCS Card (essential). Desirable Experience Infrastructure projects
