Supply Teacher

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Primary Teachers to join their team from ASAP .

About the role

Teachers joining the school on a supply basis may be asked to cover different classes across KS1 and KS2 , depending on the school's daily requirements. You will need to be adaptable and confident following existing planning while maintaining continuity for pupils.

For those interested in longer-term work, there may be opportunities to take responsibility for a particular class or year group and become a consistent member of the teaching team.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS1 or KS2.
• Follow existing planning effectively when working on supply.
• Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
• Differentiate activities to support pupils with a range of abilities.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress where appropriate.
• Encourage pupils to become confident and independent learners.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
• Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and expectations.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Supply Teacher you will:

• QTS.
• Experience within KS1 and/or KS2.
• DBS on the update service
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• QTS
