Join a dynamic and forward-thinking civil and structural engineering consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering complex and specialist projects across the UK. We are looking for an ambitious Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of highway and drainage schemes for commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of highway and drainage schemes .
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications .
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Supervise and mentor engineers, technicians, and trainees.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality management systems .
- Promote digital innovation, including BIM and emerging technologies.
- Support project management and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or higher).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, with strong drainage and highway design background.
- Proficiency in MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage and AutoCAD .
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team.
Desirable
- Experience with S104, S38, S278 agreements .
- Chartered status ( CEng or IEng ) or working towards it.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and technical assurance processes.
- Experience in project management and mentoring teams.
- Knowledge of digital innovation tools (VR, laser scanning, Civil 3D).
