About the Role

As a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division, you will deliver planned, structured repair and servicing directly to our members. This role is distinct from traditional roadside assistance, focusing on scheduled jobs without emergency callouts or unpredictable shifts.

Your day will start with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked, and the member is expecting you. Your responsibilities will include:

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
• Providing member advice and recommendations
• Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with our standards

With a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and advanced diagnostics at your disposal, you will have everything you need to perform quality work.

What You’ll Need

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Working Conditions

• 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
• A competitive base salary of £45,370, with on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
