MI Analytics & Reporting Manager
Location: Leeds or London.

The Role
We are recruiting for a MI Analytics & Reporting Manager to join the Central Services Optimisation Unit (OU), which is responsible for driving Central Services continuous improvement and optimisation of our enabling services. This is an exciting area of the Bank which plays an important role to drive and embed change and performance improvements across Central Services.
The Optimisation Unit reports to the Optimisation Director and forms part of the Central Operations function who are responsible for creating and maintaining safe, sustainable, and collaborative environments, across all our locations, to enable and protect the Bank fulfil its mission. The Analytics team lead together with the Data Hub Lead, shares overall responsibility for driving the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful MI and Analytics across Central Services. While the team produces outputs, the Team lead provides the leadership, direction and quality assurances that ensures these insights meets business needs and inform strategic and operational decisions. They will communicate the vision and priorities of the MI function, manage and develop a team of Analysts, Senior Analysts and Data Scientists and act as a key point of accountability together with the data hub lead for ensuring analytics drives measurable business value.
Role will also be critical in shaping how Business data is used and managed across central services by embedding a strong data culture through training, advocacy and adoption of best practices.
Role Description
Key accountabilities are to:
- Lead Snr Analysts, Analysts and Scientist, providing them with direction, coach and professional development
- Own delivery of MI, dashboards and analytics that are accurate, timely and actionable
- Work with key stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear analytical outputs that inform decision-making
- Drive the adoption got rh hub and spoke analytics models ensuring strong collaboration between Spokes and SMRs
- Partner with technology colleagues to delivery scalable and sustainable BI solutions and ensure data pipelines and infrastructure are well managed.
- Champion data driven culture in CS by providing training on analytics and BI solution for analytics team and wider CS colleagues
- Introduce and embed best practices in data analysis. Visualization and reporting ensuring consistency and quality across outputs
- Stay up to data with advances in analytics, applying new methods and tools to improve insight delivery and team capability
- Support in building integrations/connectors with Enterprise data platform from CS source systems
- Maintain and manage data registers, meta data catalogue and governance frameworks
Role Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in leading analytics, MI or BI teams.
- Expertise in Business intelligence/MI tools (such as Power BI) and experience of developing scalable reporting solution
- Excellent skills in translating business problems into data and analytical solutions.
- Experience in training and building analytics competency for people and teams
- Strong skills in programming languages commonly used in data analytics, such as Python, R and SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams with experience building a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to explain analytical insights to non-technical audiences
Desirable Criteria
- Certification in Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or similar
- Familiarity with other MI tools such as Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) or Tableau
- Experience of working within a partnering model or federated analytics structure
- Familiarity with Cloud based solutions(e.g MS Fabric, Snowflake, Google BigQuery)
- Experience in AI solutions and emerging technologies
- Experience of project management in complex business programmes and projects.

Salary and Benefits Information
We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate.
This role offers a salary of:
- Leeds ranging from £65,440 - £73,620
- London ranging from £72,720 - £81,810
In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
- Currently a non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year. The Bank has the discretion to vary standard accrual rates and dial up and dial down rates at any time and to withdraw dial up and dial down options at any time.
- A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
- An 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
- 26 days' annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
- Private medical insurance and income protection.
National Security Vetting Process
