PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £50,000 plus £5,441 London Weighting, plus 20% Ad Sales Bonus depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
BBC EXTEND
This role is advertised as part of our BBC Extend programme for disabled people. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC StoryWorks is the award‑winning commercial brand studio within BBC Studios, creating content‑led campaigns across the BBC’s global ecosystem, from branded films and digital creative to podcasts and written storytelling.
As a Content Strategist, you will develop market‑leading branded content solutions for a diverse portfolio of international clients, helping to grow our offering across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will work closely with the Strategy Director and collaborate with teams across Strategy, Creative, Production and the wider Ad Sales organisation, engaging with stakeholders in editorial, marketing, design, web development and compliance.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Developing strategic creative content solutions that meet client objectives and resonate with global BBC audiences.
- Crafting compelling pitch decks with persuasive storytelling that sells the content solution and BBC StoryWorks as the right partner for the brief.
- Working closely with BBC data teams and keeping a finger on the pulse of cultural and consumer trends to develop insights-driven strategy.
- Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders including leading briefings and ensuring projects are managed effectively with clear deadlines and expectations.
- Pitching and presenting proposals directly to clients and agencies.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- An innovative, creative thinker and problem-solver who can develop compelling strategies and content solutions.
- Extensive experience in developing pitch materials and working in presentation tools such as PowerPoint.
- Experience in working in branded content development at a publisher, agency or brand.
- Experience in gathering and utilising audience insights and knowledge of the latest trends in media, advertising and content.
- A strong understanding of a wide range of content formats and distribution platforms in the modern media ecosystem.
- Clear communicator who can present directly to clients and internal stakeholders to persuasively convey an idea.
- Ability to work under deadlines and stay focused simultaneously on the big picture and smallest details.
