We are looking for a charismatic Bartenderto shake things up with us as part of the team at The Hoxton, Southwark in our Apartment space.

The Hoxton, Southwark is our latest addition to The Hoxton family, and our third in London, only a skip & a hop away from the South Bank. There is something for everyone: 192 rooms, a bustling ground-floor restaurant, bar and terrace, The Apartment (our unique meeting & events space, a stunning roof-top restaurant and bar with indoor and outdoor seating PLUS our coworking space spread over six floors.

Meanwhile, our top floor bar & restaurant Seabird will seat similar numbers and offer a "fine-dining in sneakers" experience - think fine wines and cocktail specials to be enjoyed along the stunning 360 views of the city.

Job Description

What you'll do...

• Create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where guests come to wind down and enjoy themselves
• Make whatever the mood calls for, from soft drinks to masterful cocktails that change with the seasons
• Know your product & systems inside out
• Work with the rest of team in keeping things running smoothly and tidily, for both table and bar service
• Shake, stir and serve up classic favourites and creative cocktails that keep guests coming back for “just one more”
• Make every guest feel right at home with warm service, good vibes, and a welcoming atmosphere
• Keep cool when the bar gets buzzing, handling busy services and high-volume events like a pro
• Handle payments smoothly and keep tabs on the tills, because nobody likes mystery maths at the end of the night
• Keep the bar looking sharp, stocked up, and ready for whatever the shift throws your way
• Stay on top of hygiene and health & safety standards without killing the vibe

Qualifications

What we're looking for...

• Previous bar tending and particularly cocktail making experience
• Previous experience working in busy, fast-paced bar environments, events, or hospitality venues
• A natural people person – you’re confident behind the bar and brilliant with guests
• You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here
• Passion for hospitality – you’re all about creating memorable experiences for others, be they guests or colleagues
• You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done
• You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once
• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way
