What This Role Is Here To Do (Role Purpose)As the Junior Sous Chef at Poolhouse, you are a key bridge between section leaders (Chefs de Partie) and senior leadership (Sous Chef and Head Chef). You’ll support the Sous Chef in overseeing day-to-day operations, lead service when required, and ensure high standards of organisation, consistency, and quality. You’ll also play an important role in mentoring junior chefs, driving efficiency, and stepping up as a reliable deputy when needed. This role is ideal for an experienced Chef de Partie ready to grow their leadership and operational skills in preparation for a full Sous Chef role.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Proven experience as a strong Chef de Partie or existing Junior Sous Chef in a high-volume, premium kitchen· Excellent cooking skills with the ability to lead a section confidently· Organised and proactive in managing prep and service· Leadership potential, with the ability to coach and inspire junior team members· Calm, reliable, and resilient under pressure· Uncompromising commitment to hygiene and food safety standards· Strong communicator who builds respect and clarity within the team· Ambitious to progress into a Sous Chef role
