 Job Description: 
 We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Romford. This role will involve providing specialist speech and language therapy services with a focus on dysphagia for an acute caseload at either Queen’s Hospital or King George’s Hospital. 
What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role?
As a Band 6/7 Locum Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist you will deliver expert assessment and intervention for adults with acute dysphagia, working within a fast-paced hospital environment. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough evaluations of swallowing difficulties, developing and implementing personalised treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress to adjust interventions as necessary. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective management of complex cases. Additionally, you will provide education and support to patients, their families, and healthcare staff regarding dysphagia management. Effective communication and coordination with other healthcare professionals are crucial to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and treatment plans.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Experience working with acute dysphagia cases
- Strong clinical skills and ability to manage a complex caseload
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- HCPC Registered
