Development Underwriter

As a Development Underwriter, you'll be responsible for underwriting a profitable book of UK Property and Casualty business, while also developing and maintaining relationships with a panel of brokers. You'll also be expected to provide top-notch service to customers, maintain accurate systems and documentation, and produce reports as required.

We're seeking candidates with advanced communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, as well as those who are ACII qualified. Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on being part of a successful team are also essential for this role. If you already have existing relationships with a number of brokers in the South East of England, including London, that's even better!

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Developing and underwriting new business
• Underwriting renewal business
• Building and maintaining relationships with a panel of brokers
• Providing an outstanding service to customers
• Maintaining accurate systems and documentation and producing reports as required

Here are the skills you'll need:

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on being part of a successful team
• Existing relationships with a number of brokers in the South East of England, including London
• Advanced communication, negotiation and analytical skills
• ACII qualified
• Ability to work with a variety of systems and look for efficiencies in business processes
