Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals - Account Lead
- Develop and execute a market sector growth plan in collaboration with the Sector Leader, driving a £3m+ revenue increase across pharmaceutical/life science service lines within the UK.
- Influence the sector marketing and communications plan, including participation in industry events, authoring thought leadership pieces, and introducing innovative ideas to elevate Arcadis' visibility.
- Ensure Arcadis is positioned as the partner of choice by creating bespoke strategic plans for pharmaceutical/life clients and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Arcadis Global Account Leaders to identify opportunities to work for Arcadis pharmaceutical/life clients and target clients within the UK and vice versa
- Leverage your existing network of pharmaceutical/life science contacts and opportunities to open doors and foster trusted partnerships with clients.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of growth opportunities, managing leads to achieve set revenue and net order intake targets.
- Act as an Account / Client / Business Development Leader for key clients and partners, ensuring seamless delivery of projects while identifying new opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain client relationships in support of Arcadis's EPCMV projects and pipeline in the UK
- Support Business Development for client engagement at senior levels and prepare and participate in project proposals and client engagement presentations.
- Collaborate and contribute to Value Propositions to develop commercially viable, value-creating solutions tailored to client needs.
- Build a network of enduring client, partner, and supply chain relationships, identifying client challenges and positioning Arcadis as a trusted partner.
- Proven track record in the successful management of large-scale pharma projects and programmes, in line with project quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of technical disciplines and SMEs is required for multidisciplinary delivery.
- Developing and delivering pharmaceutical/life science project execution strategies.
- Inspire and lead multi-disciplinary pursuit, account, and delivery teams, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
- Develop strong internal relationships to encourage cross-selling and maximise opportunities across local and global Arcadis' service lines.
- Influence and shape market-facing collateral, providing strategic direction to the pursuit and marketing teams to amplify Arcadis' brand and offer.
- Foster and support a mentoring network across all applicable disciplines and support internal training and development initiatives associated with project delivery.
- Ensure alignment with Arcadis' business initiatives and metrics, including revenue delivery, Net Order Intake, Client Experience (CX), and Employee Experience.
- Uphold the highest standards of service delivery, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnership development.
- Educational Background: Bachelor of Engineering or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven Revenue Generation: Demonstrated success in delivering complex, large-scale life sciences and pharmaceutical developments in the UK, including pursuits exceeding £3m+ in revenue.
- Proven Capital Delivery Experience: Of 15+ years in the Pharma market, leading and delivering projects in excess of £200m+ for A&E or EPC companies in UK&I.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive design and technical experience in pharmaceutical and process engineering.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the UK life sciences, pharmaceutical, and developer/investment market, with the ability to shape and implement growth strategies.
- Sales Leadership: Strong experience in market-to-opportunity and account management, with the ambition and drive to meet/exceed challenging growth targets.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead teams, drive client-centric solutions, and execute strategic plans at a leadership level.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Commercially driven, decisive, and innovative, with a strong focus on achieving results.
