Job Title: Full-Time Live-Out Nanny

Days & hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm (50 hours per week)

Additional hours: Occasional evenings by prior agreement

Start date: Ideally 16 November 2026, flexible until 4 January 2027 for the right candidate

Location: Islington, WC1X, near Exmouth Market / King's Cross

Ages of children: One baby boy, born August 2026

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 gross per annum.

About the family

A lovely family based in Islington is looking for a warm, experienced and exceptionally reliable nanny to provide sole-charge care for their baby boy.

Both parents work, and they're hoping to find someone who can become a trusted, long-term part of their family, providing consistent, attentive and nurturing care throughout boy's early years.

The family places particular importance on strong infant experience, excellent references and a thoughtful approach to early childhood development.

Language skills are also a key priority. Ideally, the nanny will be a native or fluent French speaker with strong English, although German language skills would also be a lovely bonus.

The family values candidates with stable employment histories and relevant childcare education, but is also open to promising newly qualified nannies who can demonstrate excellent infant-care knowledge, maturity and a genuine passion for childcare.

Above all, they're looking for someone warm, dependable, proactive and genuinely invested in Arthur's wellbeing and development.

Duties

The nanny will be responsible for baby daily care, including feeding, changing, dressing, managing naps and establishing consistent, age-appropriate routines.

An important part of the role will be supporting his development through sensory play, tummy time, reading, music and interactive activities appropriate to his age. As he grows, the nanny will help introduce new experiences, encourage developmental milestones and support his growing independence.

The family would love someone who takes a thoughtful and informed approach to infant care, particularly around sleep, feeding, hygiene and illness prevention, and who communicates openly with the parents about baby development and wellbeing.

The nanny will also be responsible for planning suitable outings, walks and activities as Arthur gets older, while maintaining a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.

Standard child-related housekeeping duties will include laundry, cleaning and sterilising feeding equipment, keeping his nursery and play areas tidy, and preparing age-appropriate meals as he begins weaning.

Skills & requirements

Experience: Strong professional infant experience, particularly with babies under 6 months

Languages: French MUST, alongside strong English; German would be a bonus

References: Excellent, verifiable references essential

Employment history: Stable previous placements preferred

Qualifications: Relevant childcare qualifications or education highly desirable

Other must-haves: Right to work in the UK, DBS and Paediatric First Aid
