Propulsion Controls Engineer
- Provide hands-on technical expertise and electrical troubleshooting for ship propulsion systems.
- Perform inspections, adjustments, fine-tuning, and repairs to ensure optimal performance of propulsion systems, including Controllable Pitch Propellers, Gearboxes, Water Jets, and Thrusters.
- Lead and execute complex electrical repairs, overhauls, installations, and commissioning activities both independently and with teams.
- Act as a technical expert, supporting customers and engineers in the field and ensuring smooth service execution.
- Work closely with service coordinators and clients, taking ownership of final reporting and technical documentation.
- Travel extensively worldwide (approximately 170 days per year) to deliver expert service on-site. Strong technical knowledge and experience with propulsion systems, and electrical engineering.
- A background in marine engineering or a related technical field.
- The ability to work independently and lead teams during complex service operations.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A customer-focused, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality and safety.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
