EMEA Event Manager
Rate: £39.73 per hour PAYE
Career Moves is recruiting an experienced EMEA Event Manager for a leading global technology organisation.
Working within the EMEA Events Team, you will manage a portfolio of live and digital programmes for employees, customers, prospective customers, alliance partners, press and analysts. Events will include conferences, partner summits, executive meetings and customer experiences, alongside large-scale pan-EMEA programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead assigned events from initial planning through to delivery and post-event evaluation.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets and key milestones.
- Coordinate venue research and selection, contracts, catering, staffing and attendee communications.
- Oversee registration services, event websites, creative services and technical production.
- Manage speakers, sponsors, agencies, suppliers and branded merchandise.
- Ensure events remain within budget, meet programme objectives and positively represent the company’s brand.
- Track event performance and return on investment.
- Gather and analyse feedback from attendees, stakeholders and partners.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support integrated marketing activity.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain excellent service levels for internal stakeholders and programme colleagues.
- Support other EMEA Event Marketing programmes as required.
Skills and experience required
- At least five years’ successful experience in event project management, event marketing or conference production.
- Proven experience managing complex corporate or B2B events in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong end-to-end event planning and project management capability.
- Experience developing and managing event budgets.
- Confidence leading agencies, venues, suppliers and production partners.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management, customer service and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how events support wider business and sales objectives.
- A proactive, resourceful and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, together with Google Workspace.
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel across EMEA, with requirements varying according to the event schedule.
- French or German language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
