NMS Ericsson Platform Owner - 12 month FTC
Are you ready to lead the future of Management Platforms Delivery in Digital Networks at UK's largest and most reliable telecommunications service provider? In this role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle management of a wide range of Ericsson NMS platforms across our entire OSS stack. You’ll be accountable for defining, prioritising, and delivering new capabilities and ensuring that our platforms are feature-rich, operationally robust, and aligned with our strategic 3 to 5 years transformation goals.
This is a strategic and visible role where you’ll be shaping network management roadmaps, aligning vendor delivery with enterprise architectural blueprints, and driving innovation across OSS solutions. You’ll collaborate with suppliers, SMEs, and internal teams to make sure our platforms meet stringent performance, security, and regulatory standards – all while enabling our Digital Network platforms and products journey, reducing costs, and building resilience for the future.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Strong background in OSS domain and Network Management Systems from multiple vendors but primarily on Ericsson NMS, and OSS products, with hands-on experience in southbound service and inventory management, fault handling, while driving initiatives and improvements for data feeds into existing and future north bound products.
- Proven experience in platform’s software, and hardware lifecycle management, including roadmap definition, demand and budget forecasting, and ensuring end-to-end governance across all technical and commercial deliverables.
- Demonstrable ability to lead initiatives with suppliers, vendors and narrow stakeholders, driving delivery to agreed costs, timelines, and open standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, coach, and manage multiple delivery and cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in cloud technologies (public, private, hybrid), with hands-on understanding of data handling, APIs management, and application frameworks on cloud platforms
The other stuff we are looking for
We'd also love you to bring;
- Good understanding of telecom networks 2G, 4G and 5G, new technologies like GenAI, and industry standards and best practices for security particularly for mobile network OSS.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and backlog / release management in tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong commercial acumen to deliver cost efficiencies, savings, and investment ROI through platform decisions.
- A passion for innovation and owning risk management, with the ability to assess emerging technologies and adapt strategies quickly.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship-building skills to drive collaboration across cross-functional teams, suppliers, and senior leadership.
