Accounts Clerk (12 months FTC) - Sheraton Heathrow Hotel

We're looking for an organised and detail-focused Accounts Clerk to join our Finance team at Sheraton Heathrow Hotel . As an Accounts Clerk, you'll play a key role in supporting the hotel's financial operations, helping to maintain accurate records, process invoices and payments, reconcile accounts, and ensure financial controls are followed. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the hotel.

What you'll be doing:

Financial Administration

• Checking financial figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
• Maintaining accounting records, files, and electronic financial data
• Preparing and distributing financial, accounting, payroll, and audit reports
• Supporting month-end and period-end closing activities
• Producing reports from finance and accounting systems as required

Accounts Receivable

• Preparing, reviewing, and issuing invoices and account statements
• Supporting the management of direct billing accounts
• Reviewing group billing documentation for accuracy
• Assisting with the resolution of outstanding accounts and payment queries

Cash Handling & Reconciliation

• Supporting daily cash reconciliations and banking activities
• Preparing consolidated cash deposits
• Maintaining cashier banks and petty cash records
• Investigating and documenting cash variances

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We're seeking someone who is:

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident working with numbers and financial information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Trustworthy, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related finance, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential.
