Welcome to Tooting! In this bustling market town south of the river is our popular Tooting clinic, who are looking for an additional RVN on a part-time basis to help support their growing team.

The practice is fully-equipped with excellent on-site facilities as you would expect, including ultrasound, and on those challenging days you have a team of like-minded colleagues to help support you throughout the day, and enable a positive working environment.
You will be fully supported by an established team including a fantastic senior Vet and senior RVN, part-time additional vet and exceptional trainee nurses, plus a dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet.
Your role will involve supporting your senior RVN for day-to-day practice life, including being a mentor for our trainee nurses who are on their journey to becoming an RVN.
With an experienced team to hand this role could be ideal for a soon to be RVN, or someone with a few years under their belt looking for part-time hours, freeing up time for other ventures.
There are flexible options we can explore over this 3-day week role, so just ask! Your rota will also include a 1:3 Saturday morning and 1:10 Stone Lion Hospital Saturday rotation, plus 1 bank holiday per year.
There are NO on-call requirements.
As a branch RVN some of your duties will include:
- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary.
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.
- Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor

The salary band for this role is £32,000 to £35,000 (full-time equivalent based on 40 hours per week) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
