What will you be doing?

Do you want to join our newly formed Regulatory Consulting team? This is a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of projects and contribute significantly to shaping the new business line. The team operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where everyone's input is crucial. Given the early stage of the function, individuals have a substantial influence on the business and team, regardless of their seniority or experience.

Reporting to a Partner within the function, this role focuses on project delivery. The Regulatory Consulting Director will support and deliver assigned client work elements, assist with technical research, and produce technical materials. Additionally, you will contribute to the team's development and growth while meeting team utilisation targets.

As Regulatory Consulting Director, your responsibilities will include among others

  • You will be implementing strategy as per the annual business plan with the Partner; adopting a coordinated approach to market the S&W brand, service offering, and value proposition across business lines; building upon established network, maintain regular client contact, and invest in developing relationships in order to identify opportunities for the firm.
  • Developing revenue streams from internal and external sources; support pitches, tenders, proposals and marketing campaigns to secure work with existing and potential clients.
  • Building a strong internal network to increase awareness of team capabilities, marketing team services, and identify internal peer groups for referrals and contribute to thought leadership and articles for publication
  • Supporting the Partner in the management of the Regulatory Consulting team and specialist project teams.
  • Leading and managing multiple projects and clients concurrently.
  • Providing honest, constructive, timely feedback and support career development and performance coaching to achieve optimum individual and team performance.
  • Demonstrating commitment to, and supporting the embedding of, the S&W values and ESG agenda.
  • Managing risk, profitability and efficiency to ensure excellent client service, efficient operations, and commercial outcomes are achieved

Qualifications



To be successful in this role, you should

  • Significant practical experience in a similar regulatory role within financial services or consultancy with a proven track record
  • Ability to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Professionally qualified in regulation to Level 4 or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of FCA Handbook and current regulatory issues
  • Significant experience managing projects and teams
  • Extensive experience in mentoring and developing team members
  • Ability to identify and resolve client procedural weaknesses Required
  • Commercially aware and ability to meet financial targets
