About the role:

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to high quality research and will be able to contribute excellent teaching to the development of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You should hold a PhD in a relevant field, have a high-quality track record of publications in leading refereed journals and in securing research income.

This is a full-time post, and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

1. Essential criteria
2. By the date of appointment, or shortly thereafter, a PhD in relevant subject area
3. At least one publication or a ‘revise and resubmit’ in a world-leading journal (ranked 4* or 4 on the ABS list) in finance, econometrics or a closely related discipline
4. Evidence of world-class research capacity
5. Some experience of teaching, or teaching assistance, in a related field at the undergraduate or postgraduate level

Desirable criteria

1. Some experience of developing research projects on collaborative funding bids
2. Engagement in professional organisations (conference papers, workshops, memberships)
3. Some experience of being innovative in teaching and curriculum design
