About the Role:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers as a Cover Supervisor.
• Ensure students remain on task with the work set by the absent teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support the teaching and learning of various subjects across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Provide assistance to students with their work and answer any questions they may have.
• Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements for a Cover Supervisor:

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to support students at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) .
