A leading specialist insurer operating across the Lloyd’s and Company markets is looking to hire a Delegated Underwriting Specialist to support and help drive its delegated underwriting strategy across multiple classes of business. This is a highly visible role working closely with senior leadership, underwriting teams, and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including Lloyd’s.

You will play a key part in delivering the delegated underwriting business plan, with responsibility for the onboarding, governance and oversight of coverholders and binding authorities.

Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting due diligence, onboarding, and renewal of coverholders and binding authorities
• Managing internal and external stakeholders across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations
• Ensuring delegated underwriting processes align with governance and regulatory frameworks
• Producing accurate management information on onboarding, performance, and oversight
• Coordinating delegated underwriting review meetings and evidencing appropriate sign-off
• Maintaining robust DU records, audit trails, and MI
• Supporting bordereau management, audits, and reporting requirements
• Continuously reviewing and improving systems, processes, and controls

About You
• Proven experience within DUA
• Strong knowledge of Lloyd’s and Company markets
• Solid understanding of underwriting governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
• Confident communicator able to manage senior stakeholders and challenging conversations
• Strong analytical, organisational, and reporting skills
• Experience using PAS and Lloyd’s systems such as Crystal, Atlas, DCOM, DAM, and onboarding tools
