Role: Music Therapist

Hours: Dependant on candidates availability

Are you a passionate Music Therapist looking to make a real impact? We are recruiting for a creative and dedicated therapist to work across two specialist SEN schools within a highly supportive multi-academy trust .

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, sensory impairments, and complex learning needs , using music as a powerful therapeutic tool.

Hours are determind based of the candidates for the roles availability.

The Role:

• Deliver 1:1 and group music therapy sessions aligned with EHCP targets
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider multidisciplinary teams
• Use music to de-escalate behaviour and support engagement in learning
• Track, monitor, and report on student progress
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging therapeutic environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Music Therapist (HCPC registered or equivalent)
• Experience within SEN / SEMH / specialist settings
• Strong understanding of behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
• Confident supporting pupils with complex needs and communication barriers
• Creative, adaptable, and patient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
