Key Responsibilities
The Ordinary Seaman is responsible to the Bosun/Supervising Officer for:
· Performing lookout/helmsman duties on bridge watches
· Carrying out maintenance work and other operational tasks as required
· Assisting in mooring operations as required
· Adopting safe working practices
· Performing Safety & Security rounds as instructed by the Bosun/Supervising Officer
· Responsible to the Deck Officers for maintaining a safe deck watch and ensuring the vessel remains securely moored.
· Assisting in cargo operations (inc. tank cleaning, sweeping) as required by the Chief Officer and or Officer on Watch
· Undertaking any other tasks, duties as instructed by the Bosun/supervising Officer

· Comfortable following instructions and willing to ask for clarification if necessary
