Storage SME (IT)

Our client is looking for a Storage SME to join their team on a six month initial contract, working hybrid out of their site in London. This role requires a candidate with an active DV clearance and has the opportunity to go through a NPPV3 clearance. This role is working via Umbrella. They are seeking an experienced Storage Systems Engineer to join our infrastructure programme team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Windows, Network, and Database teams to design and implement solutions that meet secure shared storage requirements across a diverse and high-performance secure environment. Key Responsibilities Design, deliver, and maintain optimized storage infrastructure to support critical business systems and trading operations & to integrate with the existing storage array, and build backup servers (3 x Veeam + IBM Tape Library). Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure teams (Windows, Network, Database) to define and implement shared storage solutions. Design and implement scalable and performant storage networks and data backup systems. Develop and manage data protection and disaster recovery strategies in alignment with business continuity plans. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize storage performance across multiple environments. Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and operational procedures.
