Mobile Vehicle Technician – Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) Division

Join a fast‑growing division of a leading motoring services organisation. In this role you’ll deliver planned repairs and servicing directly to members at their homes or workplaces – no emergency call‑outs, no unpredictable shifts, just a clear schedule and the tools you need to do the job right.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine servicing and comprehensive diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs that would normally be completed in a workshop.
• Provide members with clear advice, recommendations and safety checks that meet the organisation’s standards.
• Manage a digital, pre‑booked job list each day, ensuring punctual arrivals and professional communication.
• Order parts and coordinate support through the organisation’s mobile service platform.

Key Requirements

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

Working Conditions & Compensation

• Full‑time, 40 hours per week – core hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with one Saturday in four.
• Base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London weighting, where applicable).
• On‑target earnings of up to £57,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
• Optional guaranteed overtime after the first month – £30 per hour, potentially adding £3,000–£5,000 annually.
• Fully equipped mobile van, fuel card, uniform, complete tool set and advanced diagnostics provided from day one.
