Networking Engineer
Natilik is a Global Technology Solutions Partner. Our mission continues to be two-fold; growing a brand that is seen as the industry’s ‘Confident Guide’ sat between the vendors who make technology, and our clients who want to use it to help deliver the outcomes most important to them. We offer products, services, platforms, applications, and expertise to help. We also want to continue to build a business that we can be proud of, with a focus on five stakeholders: clients, people, partners, communities, and shareholders; putting our people at the heart of everything we do. From the small and simple, to the large and complex, we want a life-long partnership, a company our clients and people can rely on.
Role: Networking Engineer
Location: London (Onsite initially, moving to hybrid)
Type: 6 month fixed term contract, subject to extension
The Role
The Networking Engineer will shape and strengthen the networks capability of Natilik's key clients, taking ownership of connectivity and resilience and operating in a global environment. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with a strong sense of ownership, working closely with our client’s technology teams to deliver the reliable, high-performance connectivity that their business depends on. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and evolving a sophisticated global network, connecting data centres, offices and cloud environments across a demanding, 24x7 estate. You’ll be trusted to take ownership, solve challenging technical problems and build strong relationships with both client stakeholders and the wider Natilik team.
Main activities, duties & tasks
Own network operations and change: Take ownership of day-to-day network operations across the client’s global estate, supporting connectivity between sites, data centres and cloud environments. Plan and implement network changes with a strong focus on stability, security and minimal business disruption.
Lead on resilience and low-latency connectivity: Help maintain the performance and resilience of trading-critical network paths, identifying potential risks and driving improvements to availability and reliability. Take a lead role in incident response, troubleshooting complex issues and coordinating effective resolution to minimise business impact.
Drive network automation and continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to automate network configuration, monitoring and validation, improving consistency, reducing manual effort and strengthening operational assurance. Champion best practices that make network operations more efficient, scalable and reliable.
Collaborate across a global engineering team: Work closely with colleagues in London and New York to align network standards, share technical expertise and support consistent service delivery across regions. Contribute to effective follow-the-sun operational coverage, ensuring a seamless approach to network management and incident handling across time zones.
