We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly committed Teacher of Drama to join the successful Performing Arts faculty at a well-regarded secondary academy in the Ealing area of Inner West London.

This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026 .

The Opportunity

The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Drama specialist dedicated to delivering engaging and rigorous practical and theoretical lessons. You will be joining a supportive environment where high academic achievement and widespread student participation in performing arts are highly valued. This role focuses on outstanding classroom practice, developing technical and performance skills, and contributing significantly to school productions and the co-curricular program.

To attract an exceptional candidate, this role includes a generous Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum . This financial incentive is a purely financial reward designed to support excellent teachers and their commitment to our school community.

We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.

  • A proven track record as an excellent Drama Teacher with experience teaching both practical performance and academic analysis to at least Key Stage 4 (GCSE) .

  • Experience in directing or managing school productions is highly desirable.

  • A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.

  • The drive to contribute positively to the academic and co-curricular life of the school.

Salary and Benefits

  • Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers.

    • The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Inner London Pay Scale (The Inner London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £40,317 as of September 2025).

  • A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum.
