Job Overview:

The role of an Account Executive is vital to maximizing and developing this company's client portfolio. As an Account Executive/Manager in the SMB team, you'll work with low to mid-value accounts, with a range of product specifications, but most of your portfolio will be Journalist Enquiry Service subscribers. The primary goal for the account executive is customer satisfaction leading to renewal of their services and identifying opportunities to grow the client's subscription with other products in the offering. You'll understand each of your client's strategic and operational goals and objectives and advise them on why they should be expanding their relationship and how further integration across the range of products can help them achieve their strategic communications objectives.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Renewing existing client subscriptions
  • Onboarding new Journalist Enquiry Service only clients
  • Dealing with day-to-day queries relating to product, contract and usability questions
  • Taking control and ownership of your territory to strategically map and target organizations
  • Rigorously recording account and opportunity data in Salesforce for successful opportunity mapping
  • Building relationships at all levels and delivering value throughout the customer journey
  • Effectively managing each client's usage of their current system and identifying natural upsell opportunities based on usage
  • Using market knowledge to strategically position against competitors to become the only viable option
  • Analyzing opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
