Position Details

* Location: Upminster
* Start Date: October 2026
* Contract: Full-time, Monday–Friday
* Salary: £95–£100 per day

Key Responsibilities

* Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning and reach their full potential.
* Deliver effective 1:1 and small-group support to develop pupils' academic, social and communication skills.
* Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to meet individual learning needs.
* Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour through patient, nurturing and child-centred approaches.
* Support pupils with a range of additional needs, adapting activities and approaches to suit individual abilities.
* Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every pupil feels supported and valued.

The Ideal Candidate

* Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
* Is patient, caring, proactive and adaptable.
* Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Has experience supporting children with additional needs, although candidates with transferable skills and a strong willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
