Position Overview
The Analytics Senior Manager, Government will play a crucial role in the dedicated analytics team supporting the UK Government account. This position is responsible for leading the implementation of comprehensive measurement strategies, translating complex client briefs into appropriate analytical methodologies, and driving the development of campaign measurement and KPI frameworks. The Senior Manager will coordinate analytical efforts, ensure consistency in approach across various initiatives, and actively contribute to identifying strategic insights that drive effective communication and behaviour change for government clients. This role requires a blend of hands-on analytical expertise, client engagement, and mentorship of junior team members.

- Lead dialogues with clients and internal agency teams, leveraging expert knowledge of research methodologies and consumer trends to guide best practices.
- Ensure that measurement and effectiveness are integrated as core considerations at all stages of the planning process for government campaigns, from strategy development through to activation.
Strategic Measurement & Delivery:
- Lead the development of campaign measurement and KPI frameworks, ensuring clear expectations of what 'good' looks like for government initiatives.
- Be responsible for identifying and recommending the most appropriate measurement methodologies for UK Government client briefs, including predictive modelling (e.g., MMM), survey measurement, digital attribution, attention, and reach measurement.
- Conduct regular measurement audits of the UK Government's current capabilities, prioritising and recommending improvements to measurement setups based on effort vs. return.
- Take ownership of client learning agendas, distilling the complexity of multiple research studies into clear campaign performance themes.
- Clearly articulate the narrative from research/effectiveness studies – identifying what is working, what isn’t working, and what should be done in the future to improve campaign performance.
- Collaborate with planning and activation teams to ensure learnings from previous analysis are fed back into future planning cycles.
- Contribute to target setting and forecasting for future campaign performance based on an understanding of historic performance trends/analysis.
- Develop an understanding of the drivers of performance beyond marketing levers to provide a broader view on the most effective approach to maximise client performance.
Commercial Growth & Innovation:
- Proactively identify and explore innovative third-party methodologies and data sets that can enhance our understanding of UK Government campaign effectiveness.
- Contribute to building business cases for incremental investment in advanced effectiveness solutions.
- Participate in relevant industry bodies and attend training and events to stay at the forefront of industry best practices.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and drive strategic thought based on data.
- Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and ethical considerations relevant to public sector data usage in the UK.
