London

If you’re looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued you’ll be.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

The role of Senior Relationship Manager (RM) will source, develop and pro-actively manage a reputable and long term profitable portfolio of high net worth clients and family offices (when applicable). You will provide the relationship management and business development activities with Saudi Arabia clients predominately using the full range of company products and services.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you will:

  • Grow revenue, increase Assets Under Management (AUM) of portfolio and increase inflows of Net New Money (NNM), achieving growth by leveraging brand, channels and RM network.
  • Work collaboratively with Investment Counsellors, Wealth Planners, and other relevant teams such as the Product Specialists network to develop client relationships.
  • Maintain an understanding of economic, business, tax, property, legal and other relevant matters to a standard that is commensurate with the nature of the existing and target client base.
  • Leading by example through high financial results, and offering coaching to other RMs to create opportunities to aid their professional development.
  • Works closely with other Bank Departments to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments Level 4 or Investment Advice Diploma qualification is a minimum requirement of the role with the requirements to achieve Level 6 within 12 months of joining
  • Demonstrable track record of client portfolio management and new client acquisition with clients in the Middle East & North Africa segment is essential. Experience of working with Saudi Arabia clients specifically would be more advantageous.
  • Track record of building successful relationships with both an internal and external referral network.
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets, complex wealth management solutions including lending solutions, and the regulatory environment in the UK.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic would be desirable
