The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Resourcing Advisor to support the Resourcing Manager in delivering operational excellence across the Audit service line. This role is critical in ensuring effective resource planning, reporting, and coordination across multiple offices. They will be responsible for allocating resources to client work/projects, identifying over or under-capacity in resourcing and taking necessary steps to balance the supply and demand of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day management of the resourcing dashboard (e.g. Retain). Ensuring that the data is accurate i.e. that all projects to be delivered are included on the dashboard and resources allocated to these projects have appropriate skills/ experience.
- Produce weekly and monthly MI reports to support Audit WIP tracking, utilisation, and forecasting
- Resolving resourcing conflicts as and when they occur through discussions with relevant Directors/ Partners.
- Working collaboratively with Audit Managers to ensure Retain resourcing reflects the agreed client budget and the impact of any possible project overruns are identified early and reflected in Retain in a timely manner. Communicating with the Resourcing Manager to ensure any overruns are flagged and billed to clients where appropriate.
- Identifying any upcoming spare capacity in Retain and remediating where possible, working with the Resourcing Manager and Audit Directors/ Partners to fill the gaps. Communicating any longer-term staffing gaps to Management to ensure that they can act as required.
- Identifying and quantifying upcoming resource shortages and feeding into Recruitment decisions.
- Building relationships with offshore teams to ensure projects/ work offshored is adequately resourced and delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner and any issues are escalated as appropriate.
- Working with the People team to ensure that there is a central view of any individual’s development requirements and resourcing decisions are made through this lens.
- Support the integration of new joiners and offshore colleagues into the Audit resourcing function
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
- Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in Resource Management or similar role in a professional services business (consultancy, marketing, audit & accountancy).
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication (Verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Demonstrable track record of building relationships with Stakeholders at all levels and leveraging on these to make informed decisions.
- Skilled at working under pressure.
- Preferably proficient in Excel and a relevant Resource Management/ Project Management tool.

- Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office based)
- Core working hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday
