Business Operations Manager
About Us
We’re building the world’s leading cross-border fintech for emerging markets - empowering families, fueling local economies, and changing how millions access financial services.
Since our launch in 2019, we have transformed how money moves across borders with our operations spanning 6 out of 7 continents and covering both the busiest and most underserved (remittance) corridors. We tapped into a massive shift - from banks to phones - bringing digital finance to places where traditional systems never reached. The next stage of growth will fuel a network of services and products especially designed to make money more accessible to diaspora communities including local cards, and additional savings and payments features.
We’re growing fast, backed by world-class investors, and scaling a product that blends real world impact with cutting edge fintech innovation .
Here’s a little more:
Founded by Harvard grads and 3-time founders who previously built Segovia (acquired) and GiveDirectly (>$300M revenue, fastest-growing NGO in the world)
Backed by top investors including Spark Capital, Canaan, Reid Hoffman, Breyer Capital, Unbound, Wamda, and more
Built by global top performers from Bain, Google, McKinsey, Uber, Checkout, Bolt, and beyond - we move fast, stay humble, and care deeply about our mission
Truly global team - 250+ people, 50+ nationalities, 50+ languages
Guided by our values - ownership, impact, humility, and heart - in deed, not just word
Role
Taptap Send is looking for a systems-minded, commercially sharp Business Operations Manager to join our team. This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of People, Finance, and the broader business, for someone who sees operations as scalable systems that can be built, automated, and continuously improved.
You’ll own both the internal infrastructure that powers how we operate and the financial models that guide how we grow — from designing workflows and building data systems to leading planning and producing senior-ready analysis. If you’re energised by turning complexity into clarity and want your work to have company-wide impact in a fast-growing global fintech, this role is for you.
We’re moving millions of dollars across dozens of corridors every day, and our financial infrastructure needs to match the ambition of the business. You’ll work directly with senior leadership on financial planning, business reporting, and strategic analysis — with real ownership from day one. If you want a front-row seat to how a high-growth fintech scale — and want to be one of the people making it happen — this is the role.
Responsibilities
Design, build and automate core operational workflows across People and business operations — reducing manual work and enabling scalable processes across the company
Own and develop TTS’s core data infrastructure, including dashboards across headcount, compensation and key business metrics, enabling better decision-making
Build and maintain financial models, and lead planning cycles across growth, opex, workforce and country-level expansion
Own monthly business reporting and produce clear, senior-ready outputs for leadership, board and investors
Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Finance, People Ops) to provide analytical rigour and operational support that drives business performance
Lead compensation and role governance, ensuring consistency, competitiveness and scalability as we grow
Identify and solve operational bottlenecks across the business, building systems and frameworks that improve speed, clarity, and execution
Support new and emerging business areas as a strategic partner, and help define how TTS scales its operating and planning model over time
Requirements
4–6+ years in a high-performing analytical environment (e.g. consulting, investment banking, biz ops, finance, or a fast-growing startup)
Strong track record of building systems, processes, or financial models from scratch and scaling them effectively
Highly analytical, with strong Excel skills (SQL a plus); comfortable working with data and translating it into clear, actionable insights
Experience owning end-to-end outputs for senior stakeholders (e.g. business reporting, board decks, investor materials)
Ability to operate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across different teams
AI-native in your approach — you use AI tools to improve speed, quality, and automation
Nice to have: experience in fintech, payments, or emerging markets; additional language skills
Also you are
Outgoing — you love speaking to people and enjoy building meaningful relationships
Execution Oriented — we have an ‘impact first’ philosophy and a lot to get done. You should be able to take an idea to implementation
Mission Oriented — you are passionate about working for a net positive organisation / tech for good
Organised — you have a system for how you approach your work that can keep you on track in a scrappy startup environment
Driven — you thrive in a fast-paced, target oriented company
