Become a key figure in nurturing future scientists at our outstanding Barking school! Primarily teaching A-Level Physics.
Our high-achieving school in Barking is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher with a strong focus on Key Stage 5. You will play a crucial role in guiding and challenging our most able Physics students as they prepare for university and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and in-depth Physics lessons primarily to A-Level students.
- Develop and refine the KS5 Physics curriculum to ensure excellence and student success.
- Provide effective assessment and feedback to stretch and challenge advanced learners.
- Foster independent research and analytical skills in students.
- Contribute to the development of resources and enrichment opportunities for KS5 Physics.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality Science provision.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Physics or a closely related field.
- Significant experience teaching Physics at A-Level (or strong potential as an ECT with a strong Physics background).
- A thorough understanding of the A-Level Physics specification and assessment requirements.
- Proven ability to inspire and challenge high-achieving students.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
