Part Time Nanny

AH206: Part-time Temporary Nanny, Hammersmith

Arthur’s House is working on behalf of a warm Italian family based in Hammersmith, who are looking for a reliable, experienced and proactive part-time nanny to support with their two children: a 6-year-old who is going into Year 2, and a 14-month-old toddler.

This is a temporary role, likely starting around mid-October and running until Christmas. The family is ideally looking for someone who can support with both morning and after-school routines, although they are open to discussing the exact structure with the right candidate.

The role:
The core after-school hours are approximately 3:30pm–7:00pm, Monday to Friday. The family would also ideally like support in the mornings from around 7:00am–9:00am, helping with the children’s morning routine and drop-offs.

There may also be the option for some longer afternoons, potentially starting from around 1:00pm, if the nanny is happy to help with light child-related household duties before pickup.
School and nursery are both local and within walking distance, so no driving is required. The nanny would collect the eldest child from school first, then collect the youngest from nursery, before bringing both children home for tea, play, bath and bedtime support.

Duties will include:
- Morning support, including helping the children get ready and assisting with drop-offs where needed
- School and nursery pickups
- Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children
- Supporting the evening routine, including tea, bath and getting ready for bed
- Engaging the children in age-appropriate play and activities
- Light child-related housekeeping, such as tidying bedrooms, toys and play areas
- Helping to keep the children’s routine calm, organised and consistent

The ideal nanny:
The family would love to find someone kind, calm, dependable and confident managing two young children. Experience with babies and toddlers is essential, as the youngest child is 14 months old and will need hands-on care.

Strong spoken English is important. Additional languages would be a bonus.
There are no pets in the home, and there are no allergies or special educational needs to be aware of.

Salary: The expected rate is approximately £23–£25 per hour, depending on experience.
