As the Surgical Services Manager, you will:

• Provide leadership and management across theatres, endoscopy, and recovery.
• Oversee equipment management, processes, and staff training in the Minor Procedures Suite.
• Ensure continuous quality of care improvements and professional nursing standards.
• Develop and evaluate policies and procedures for patient safety and quality.
• Manage quality standards, complaints, and critical incidents.
• Identify and achieve personal training objectives in line with development plans.
• Ensure value for money and clinical effectiveness in purchasing.
• Oversee equipment trials and participate in the tendering process.
• Collaborate with the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Team to enhance medical device management.

The ideal Surgical Services Manager will have:

• A degree-level education with RN (General) Level 1 or Qualified Operating Department Practitioner status.
• Relevant post-basic qualifications and experience, such as in cardiac or orthopaedics.
• Proven project management involvement and quality improvement experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and management abilities, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
• Awareness of nursing and national developments.
