Brand Product Developer
For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions. Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakeable about each one of them.
We are looking for a Brand Product Developer to join our London team. Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will take ownership of developing branded merchandise, packaging, point-of-sale materials and activation products from initial concept through to production readiness. Working closely with creative, production, compliance and quality teams, you will help bring ideas to life as high-quality, commercially viable products that reflect the Jellycat brand.
You'll be;
Leading the development of branded merchandise, packaging, POS materials and activation products from concept through to production sign-off.
Turning creative and marketing concepts into product specifications, materials and finishes that meet brand standards.
Managing development timelines, approvals and critical paths to support launches and campaigns.
Coordinating sampling, prototyping and testing to ensure products are feasible, cost-effective and production-ready.
Maintaining accurate product specifications and development documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
Partnering with design, production, compliance and quality teams to deliver products that meet quality, safety and commercial requirements.
Managing development and production samples, ensuring clear organisation, version control and traceability.
Building strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, overseeing briefs, samples, revisions and approvals.
Supporting the identification and onboarding of new suppliers to expand capability and innovation.
Monitoring cost, quality and product information to ensure production sign-off requirements are met.
You'll have;
Experience in product development within branded merchandise, packaging, POS, accessories or premium consumer products.
A strong understanding of product development, sampling and production processes.
Experience working with global suppliers and manufacturing partners.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of brand standards.
A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to manage complexity.
A collaborative and adaptable working style.
A passion for creating high-quality physical products.
