ROLE

The Senior Strategist will define and lead the strategic direction of Disrupt, shaping how brands build influence through culture, creativity, and performance. You’ll work across clients, new business (with a significant focus on proposal development and early-stage client engagement), and Tomorrow Group projects, connecting insight, creativity, and commercial thinking to deliver measurable impact.

You’ll bring strategic clarity and commercial focus to how Disrupt thinks and delivers. You’ll guide brands and teams to make confident, insight-led decisions that connect influence, creativity, and performance. A core part of this role will involve partnering closely with the Partnerships Director to co-create compelling new business responses, contribute to pitch strategy, and represent Disrupt in early client conversations (and live pitches). You’ll also help evolve Disrupt’s role within Tomorrow Group, ensuring our expertise in influence continues to drive meaningful, measurable outcomes for clients.

IMPACT OF YOUR ROLE

Your work will directly contribute to:

  • Strategic Leadership: Setting the standard for strategic excellence across the agency, ensuring every campaign and proposal is underpinned by clear, insight-driven thinking.

  • Thought Leadership: Representing Disrupt externally through trend commentary, events, and published insight, positioning the agency as a leader in the influencer space.

  • Creative Direction: Inspiring campaign ideas and influencer activations (& social first-thinking) that cut through culture and drive engagement.

  • Client Growth & Retention: Strengthening client partnerships through innovative strategic thinking, demonstrating long-term value and ROI.

  • Growth & Innovation: Supporting business development through strategic insight, industry knowledge, and cross-team collaboration. Playing a leading role in new business activity, from shaping briefs and propositions to contributing to pitch narratives and chemistry sessions. Contributing to Disrupt’s evolving proposition and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership and Client Impact

  • Lead strategic thinking across key clients, ensuring influencer and creator activity drives brand and business outcomes.

  • Act as senior counsel to clients, providing insight, frameworks, and recommendations that deliver clear commercial impact.

  • Translate briefs into strategic roadmaps that integrate creative, data, and influencer direction.

  • Collaborate with the client and delivery teams to embed strategy across all stages of work.

  • Use data and campaign results to build insight-led recommendations that guide future planning.

  • Strengthen and grow client relationships by identifying new opportunities and demonstrating measurable business impact.

New Business & Partnerships

  • Work closely with the Partnerships Director to develop new client opportunities, contributing strategically to proposals, RFP responses, and pitch materials.

  • Lead or support the strategic narrative in new business pitches, ensuring Disrupt’s proposition is clear, differentiated, and insight-led.

  • Participate actively in chemistry calls and early-stage client conversations, helping shape client thinking and build confidence in Disrupt’s approach.

  • Translate early briefs or ambiguous opportunities into clear strategic territories and compelling responses.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring together the best of Disrupt and Tomorrow Group in new business opportunities.

Cross-Group Collaboration

  • Work with Found, SEED, and Braidr to link influence strategy with media, creative, and data intelligence.

  • Partner with SEED on creative storytelling and production shaped by audience insight.

  • Collaborate with Found to tie influencer strategy to performance outcomes.

  • Work with Braidr to enhance measurement and reporting through deeper data insight and applied AI.

  • Contribute to Tomorrow-wide initiatives, ensuring Disrupt plays a strong role in joined-up client solutions.

Growth and Innovation

  • Support business development with strategic input for proposals and pitches.

  • Identify opportunities to evolve Disrupt’s strategic frameworks and tools.

  • Stay ahead of emerging platforms, creator models, and audience behaviours to keep clients competitive.

  • Use AI and data insight to strengthen audience understanding, content planning, and optimisation to drive measurable gains.

Thought Leadership and Culture

  • Help shape and communicate Disrupt’s external voice through reports, thought pieces, and industry activity.

  • Track trends in culture, audience behaviour, and technology to inform client and agency strategy.

  • Mentor teams to build their strategic confidence and critical thinking.

  • Represent Disrupt within Tomorrow Group’s shared learning and innovation forums.

  • Represent Disrupt externally through events, panels, and industry commentary, helping position the agency as a leader in influence and culture.
