Director of Product - Partnerships & Channel Growth

We are looking for an experienced Director of Product - Partnerships & Channel Growth to lead and scale our strategic partnerships function.
This critical leadership role demands end-to-end ownership of our Partnership channel, and will lead our Product and Engineering and Commercial strategy for Partnerships.
As Director of Product - Partnerships & Channel Growth, you will be directly accountable for achieving ambitious channel revenue targets. This includes setting and executing against quarterly and annual partnership revenue goals, optimizing partner channel customer acquisition costs, and maximizing lifetime value across our partner ecosystem. You'll be responsible for building scalable processes that drive consistent revenue growth through strategic partnerships while maintaining strong unit economics and partner satisfaction metrics.
Reporting directly to the CPO, success looks like scaling significant revenue growth in the channel, enhancing our product ecosystem to enhance Planday’s Product Market Fit, and ensuring a great experience for our partners and customers.
This role will have line management of key roles for partnerships growth.

- Define and articulate a compelling vision and strategy for Planday's global partnership ecosystem, aligning with overall company objectives and growth targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritise new partnership opportunities that enhance our value proposition by solving more customer needs and establish a competitive advantage.
- Develop and own the partnership roadmap, ensuring alignment across product, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success.
- Provide strategic leadership and direct oversight to the Product and Engineering team dedicated to developing, launching, and maintaining high-quality product integrations.
- Ensure integration efforts are aligned with market needs, partner requirements, and our wider product strategy.
- Champion a data-driven approach to integration development, prioritizing based on impact, feasibility, and strategic importance.
- End-to-end management of Planday’s partner program - from negotiating terms and modelling business cases for new partners, through onboarding, quarterly reviews, and offboarding.
- Drive the performance and growth of current partnerships, including revenue generation, joint go-to-market initiatives, and partner enablement.
- Establish, track and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for the entire partnerships function, including integration adoption, partner-sourced revenue, partner satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
What you'll bring with you
- 8+ years of progressive experience in partnerships, business development, product management, or a related field within a SaaS or technology company.
- Proven leadership experience demonstrating comprehensive oversight of both technical (product/engineering) and commercial (sales/operations) teams, ideally within a partnerships context, showcasing strong end-to-end business acumen.
- Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and managing strategic partnerships that have driven significant business impact.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and measurable results.
- Being a true team player with exceptional cross-organisational collaboration skills, able to build strong relationships and work effectively across diverse functions and stakeholder groups.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, product integrations, APIs, and technical partnership requirements.
- Proven commercial acumen, with experience in negotiation, contract management, and driving revenue through partnerships.
- Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
- The ability to influence and build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
