Interim Head of Legal - Regulator
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced regulatory enforcement lawyer to join a leading sector oversight body on an interim basis. Working directly with the Board, Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders, you'll play a key role in supporting regulatory, governance and enforcement activity across a complex and high-profile environment.
This is a highly strategic role, ideally suited to a Head of Legal (interim) with experience advising Boards, regulators, public bodies or other organisations operating within a statutory framework Key responsibilities include:- Advising the Board and senior leadership on regulatory, enforcement and governance issues
- Supporting statutory decision-making processes and enforcement activity
- Providing legal advice on investigations, regulatory interventions and oversight matters
- Advising on public law, administrative law and regulatory risk
- Drafting and reviewing Board papers, consultation materials, statutory notices and enforcement-related documentation
- Managing relationships with external counsel and key stakeholders
- Supporting strategic projects and policy initiatives
- Providing legal support on sensitive, high-profile and potentially contentious matters
