Ophthalmology Specialty Doctor

This is a replacement, full-time Specialty Doctor post.
The successful applicant must have extensive experience in general ophthalmology, primary care and emergency ophthalmology. Previous experience in medical retina care is also essential.
There is no on-call commitment.
Job plans will have an element of flexibility to match candidates skills, experience, clinical interests and to make allowances for personal commitments, where appropriate. All 10 PA job plans will contain 1 SPA/revalidation session, an admin session on alternating weeks, 1 emergency clinic session and 6 further sub specialty outpatient clinics including 3 or more treatment clinics (Retinal or Macular Laser / Intravitreal injection)
For those staff considering application for a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Register (CESR) there may be an opportunity to arrange some sessions to gain appropriate experience. Such sessions will need to be agreed at appraisal/revalidation, and will not be present in the initial job plan / timetable.
