Skills and Competencies

  • Deep subject matter expertise in credit and lending within the banking sector, gained from experience in GSIB or large financial institution environments
  • Strong understanding of credit risk, lending workflows, treasury functions, and associated KPIs and business requirements
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor, translating complex data and credit solutions into tangible business value
  • Demonstrated experience driving technology and data transformation to enhance automation and operational efficiency
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, capable of identifying market trends, regulatory themes, and whitespace opportunities
  • Strong collaboration skills across sales, marketing, product management, and solution architecture teams
  • Professional resilience and credibility when operating under client and time pressures
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
  • Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Additional relevant qualifications, certifications, or professional associations are beneficial
  • 10–15+ years of experience in credit, lending, risk management, consulting, or related banking roles

Responsibilities

This client-facing role is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor during the sales cycle, establishing credibility in Moody’s Credit & Lending solutions. Other responsibilities include:

  • Supporting discovery, qualification, and solution design by facilitating solution architecture aligned to banking customer use cases
  • Elevating RFP and Proof of Concept processes using industry best practices and transformation expertise
  • Partnering with sales, marketing, and product management teams to design and execute effective market outreach strategies
  • Leading industry engagement initiatives, including speaking at events, publishing thought leadership, and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Identifying emerging market and regulatory themes to help future-proof Moody’s banking solutions
  • Detecting and articulating whitespace opportunities and building business cases for new product development or enhancement; Providing structured market feedback to inform solution evolution and strategic investment decisions
  • This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working

The Industry Practice team at Moody’s Analytics is a group of highly experienced subject matter experts drawn from banking, consulting, and regulatory backgrounds. Aligned closely with customer segments, the team plays a critical role in connecting real-world credit and lending challenges with Moody’s data, analytics, and technology solutions. Through thought leadership, client engagement, and market insight, the team works collaboratively with sales and product partners to deliver innovative, future-ready solutions for banks across Europe.
