Overview:
A warm, energetic, German-speaking weekend nanny/manny is needed to support a family in W11 (just off Ladbroke Grove). The role is primarily to play with and engage a 3.5-year-old child in *German* so the child hears and uses German at home. The family is also expecting a new baby imminently and would like some weekend support with the baby as well.

Key details:
- Location: Ladbroke Grove, W11
- Start date: Open, happy to wait for the right candidate
- Hours:
- Weekends, approximately 9:00–17:00, but very flexible and open to suggestions from candidates
- Some flexibility for additional babysitting if required.
- Children: 3.5 year old & baby on the way
- Driver: preferred but not necessary
- Salary: Competitive market rate (DOE)

Key responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, age-appropriate care and interactive play for a 3.5-year-old child, speaking German throughout the day.
- Support with the new baby on weekends as needed (e.g., basic baby care, helping alongside parents).
- Plan simple, fun activities at home and locally (e.g., games, crafts, reading, outings), prioritising German-language interaction.
- Prepare food for the children and general childcare duties
- Collaborate respectfully with the family and their weekday nanny to maintain consistency in routines.
- Babysit occasionally by agreement (flexible, ad hoc).

Candidate profile:
- Fluent/native-level German is essential; strong English is also required.
- Confident and experienced with young children; newborn experience is a plus.
- The family is happy to consider both nannies and mannies, whether junior or more experienced.
- A candidate who brings natural German exposure (e.g., speaks German at home)

Household notes:
- Friendly Labrador in the home.
- No known allergies.

Travel:
- Travel is not required for the role, although the family may occasionally spend weekends in the country and would need the nanny to join them. There will be additional payment for those weekends.
