Nanny

Harmony at Home is delighted to be assisting a warm and welcoming family in their search for a kind, nurturing and engaging nanny to become an important part of their home.

This rewarding role is with a family of two lovely boys, with the main focus on supporting their eldest son, who has cerebral palsy and complex physical needs. Experience with additional needs is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided, including physiotherapy, moving and handling, and all aspects of his care.

Their eldest son is a happy, sociable young man who attends school each day. The nanny will collect him from school, support his daily physiotherapy at home, and help create relaxed, enjoyable family evenings. The home is fully adapted with specialist equipment, including hoists, and he feeds himself independently.

Although the eldest son's needs are the primary focus, this is a nanny role rather than a care position. His younger brother has no additional needs, and the family are keen to find someone who will include both boys equally, encouraging them to spend time together and, where appropriate, making physiotherapy sessions fun and inclusive.

The family have an experienced overnight care team, allowing the nanny to focus on the after-school routine, family time and creating a happy, nurturing environment.

Travel with the family would be a bonus but is not essential, and flexibility to work additional hours during school holidays would be appreciated.

The family plan to relocate to Watford in 12–18 months, subject to home renovations. Ideally, they would love someone to stay with them after the move, but they are also happy to consider someone who can remain with the family until they relocate.
