Flexibility on working hours per week due to event schedule including working evenings and weekends regularly. We’re seeking a Event Cleaning Manager to oversee the cleaning contract at one of London’s most iconic Cricket venues. What You’ll Do- Oversee the day-to-day cleaning operations across the venue, ensuring consistently high standards that reflect the prestige of the location.
- Lead, manage, motivate, and develop a large and diverse team, ensuring compliance, engagement, and operational excellence.
- Deliver a proactive, solutions-focused service aligned with client expectations and event requirements.
- Lead cleaning operations during events, ensuring readiness, responsiveness, and flawless execution at all times.
- Coordinate staffing levels, workforce planning, and team briefings to meet varying event demands.
- Manage the cleaning contract budget to ensure profitable performance and effective resource allocation.
- Monitor financial performance, identify cost efficiencies, and produce accurate reporting for stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with venue stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Address operational challenges promptly and drive continuous service improvement.
- Lead, inspire, and develop both permanent team members and the wider event workforce.
- Oversee recruitment, training, development, and performance management to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
- Ensure world-class health and safety standards across all cleaning activities.
- Conduct regular audits and promote a robust safety-first culture throughout the operation.
- Strong experience in managing cleaning operations at a senior level
- Experience working within a sports stadium / large event venue
- Proven success leading large teams including event or seasonal scaling.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and contract performance.
- A robust understanding of health and safety within soft services.
- Ability to thrive in a high-profile, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Previous experience working within a cricket stadium
- Exposure to other soft services such as security or front-of-house.
- Proven experience in service improvement, retention, or contract growth.
